Wish Lists Have Gone Electronic, And Cosmo Has His Coat!

December 15, 2010

Cosmo the tax dogFor many weeks now Cosmo (the tax dog at http://www.gunwel.com/) has walked around the neighborhood without a coat. Many of his dog friends and their owners have sneered at him thinking he is a fool (perhaps too poor for a coat or just showing off that he didn’t need one). The truth is that we couldn’t find a coat in Cosmo’s size. We needed to go to the internet to find specialty dog shops that made the coats for XXL dogs.  But we found one and he is now strutting around the neighborhood keeping up with the other dogs. We even went a step further and had it engraved with his name, unlike the coats of the sneering dogs in the neighborhood.

We didn’t need a list when we went shopping as we knew the one thing we were looking for, BUT today major retailers are supplying shopping lists to consumers. The shopping list is actually making a comeback via high-tech. Major retailers from Wal-Mart to Toys R Us to Amazon.com to Best Buy are happy to provide consumers with state-of-the-art holiday shopping lists via their websites or smart phone apps.

  • Wal-Mart just launched its first holiday shopping app: Wal-Mart My Holiday App
  • Toys R Us has a year-round wish list that gets especially busy at holiday time. It’s designed to work in the store and online.
  • Best Buy created Gifttag.com an app that’s a universal wish list and anything from any website can be saved on it.
  • Color coded lists: some still do holiday lists the old-fashioned way, on paper.

However you do your shopping I hope you have a great time. At GAI (www.gunwel.com) our list are composed of how we can help you better manage your finances. Give us a call today at 212-979-6830 or stop by for a visit. See you soon, and happy holiday shopping!
